Disney Locations: Photo Sessions

Are you planning a Walt Disney World Vacation and looking to add on a lifestyle session or planning your dream Disney Fairytale Wedding? Looking for suggestions on some great locations at Walt Disney World where you can have those pictures taken? Then you are in the right place.
When it comes to selecting a location for your lifestyle session or wedding day, the options and themes are endless between the Disney parks and resorts. Below you will find locations for both Disney lifestyle and wedding photos. These are based off my client experiences and where I document clients most often.
Without further delay, let’s dive in to the list of ‘Best photo locations at Walt Disney World.’
WALT DISNEY WORLD PHOTO LOCATIONS:
DISNEY RESORT LOCATIONS:
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- This resort is by far one of my most requested locations for couple and family sessions alike. With views of Magic Kingdom and Cinderella’s Castle, plus its luxurious and elegant features, it stands tall with its clean lines and beautiful architecture. Easily accessible from the Ticket and Transportation Centre and the Magic Kingdom with Disney’s monorail system or boats, it make’s getting to this location a breeze.
- Disney’s Polynesian Resort
- This is one of my favourite locations for beachfront images and also keeping that gorgeous view of the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella’s Castle. This location is also easily accessible by the monorail loop. This photo location also offers a more tropical vibe and theme for your backdrop as well. I personally really enjoy the neutral earth tones this resort offers too.
- Disney’s Boardwalk / Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
- This is a fan favourite for everyone as it is such a fun location to run and play and take in the great views of Spaceship earth as well. For these sessions I typically suggest the morning photo slots as the boardwalk and resorts are still quiet, plus if you are up early enough you can catch the boardwalk all lite up with the string lights.
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- I love suggestion this location for families with little ones, the opportunities here are so much fun to explore. From Radiator Springs to Under the Sea with The Little Mermaid, this Disney resort offers backdrops for the little guys and gals in your life.
DISNEY PARKS PHOTO LOCATIONS:
- Magic Kingdom
- While I do not think this one needs much reasoning, I will offer some insight into this as well. Oh the pride and joy that is Magic Kingdom. If you wish to use this location I would 100% recommend a morning session here. You will have smaller crowds and wait times (due to no fast passes right now) and be able to fit more into your time slot than you would mid day. While in the park, clients enjoy photos on Main Street, in and around Cinderella’s Castle, Fantasyland and Storybook Circus. All excellent options for the young at heart!
- Epcot
- This location is not as popular with families but a great spot indeed. I love doing photo sessions in World Showcase as there is so much variety in textures, colours and themes. The most used locations and requested by clients though are UK, Canada, France, Italy, Morocco and China. Aside from there, there are also some great locations in and around Spaceship earth too!
- Animal Kingdom
- A roaring good time at this Disney photo location for everyone! I love shooting at Animal Kingdom because there are so many hidden gems to get some great captures, plus for kids there is lots of space to run and burn off that energy. Plus, the tree of life is the perfect backdrop if you ask me.
- Hollywood Studios
- This is one of my least requested parks but still fun to do sessions in when I get the chance. People are loving doing photo sessions at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge but ya gotta get there early if you want to get less people in your photos. But Toy Story Land is a great spot for the little ones in your life, or the young at heart!
Friend, let’s face it, there really are no bad photo locations at Walt Disney World. There really is something for everyone and I would be happy to explore a new area together! While I did not list every location I love, these are the most popular photo locations requested by clients for sessions or weddings at Walt Disney World.

We did an impromptu trip to Disney. We are staying at animal kingdom Jambo house would love a quick session for a few senior pics Can do thurs or Friday morning. I know it is a long shot and last min but thought I would take a chance 😊
