My all time favourite Walt Disney World park is Magic Kingdom, anyone else? This is also my most requested location for Disney lifestyle sessions with clients, and I am so happy everyone loves this Disney park as much as I do.
When planning for your Walt Disney World photo session I send out a questionnaire prior to our session date to get a better idea of where you want to take photos but also what parts of the park are your favourite. From there, I will compile a list or itinerary of the loop we will make to get all those magical Disney moments.
With that being said, here are the top 5 requested locations at Disney’s Magic Kingdom for lifestyle sessions:
MAIN STREET U.S.A
Main Street U.S.A! This is a staple and for good reason. With awesome views of Cinderella’s Castle, it is also where you get to experience all the sights and smells of this magical place for the first time. Here we can take advantage of quiet side streets and catch those colourful Mickey balloons in the distance. With so many tiny details making up Main Street, we can get fun shots with the Emporium or the Confectionary. This location is great for solo session or large family groups.
CINDERELLA’S CASTLE
Cinderella’s Castle is coming up in the number two spot. This may seem super obvious to have the castle in the background, but what I am referring too is using this gorgeous backdrop up close. The archways of the towers beside the castle or the ramps that take you up to the gates, there are so many angles to work with. If you are looking to do a secret proposal, Cinderella’s Wishing Well off to the right of the castle is a great little nook for a private moment.
FANTASYLAND
Here is where the young at heart come to play and where your dreams comes to life in the Magic Kingdom. Take a spin on the carousel or meet your favourite Disney princess or use your muscles to try to pull the sword out of the stone. Kids and adults alike, love using Fantasyland for their sessions. With beautiful classic backdrops available everywhere you look, it’s a classic to every session.
STORYBOOK CIRCUS
Add a pop of colour to your images by heading to the circus! The docking bay at the train station is a great private location for families to have some play time. This location is also accessible if needed. But my favourite part is we can always include some water play on those hot days. Another benefit to this location is adding in some favourite snacks from the circus tent. Get your popcorn, cotton candy and Mickey bar ice cream here!
TRAIN STATION
This location is often walked right by, literally, this location is right at the main entrance to the park and a great meeting point for session. The staircase up to the platform is one of my favourite places for photos in Magic Kingdom to get couples and families to sit down and snuggle up. Or if we head up we can get a good look over the Kingdom. But usually this is a quiet spot away from the crowds down below.
Many clients will come to Walt Disney World to celebrate events in their lives. From Disney proposals to Disney weddings, I have been able to capture so many wonderful moments.
