Kaylee and Josh’s relationship began at a party. They met during a rave in college full of neon paint and Kaylee ended up on Josh’s shoulders. Ever since that night, they’ve been having fun and loving life together.
Long day, started off getting ready at Disney’s Yacht Club. We had some champaign, got dressed and had some lovely girl time at the board walk.
Kaylee’s dress was Essence of Australia and her hair and makeup were done by Eyes On You Salon.
Another one of my photographers were with the guys as they got ready. His grandmother and parents were both there which was awesome. I love when the gentlemen can also get their time to shine with their “getting ready” photos. And I think they had just as much fun as we did.
I love when couples decide to take some time, just the two of them, before they say their vows. For Kaylee and Josh, this meant writing, and then reading out loud, letters to each other before the ceremony.
Kaylee arrived in the horse drawn carriage with her dad. Him and her step dad walked her down the aisle. I love when brides with parents and stepparents are able to incorporate everyone into their day. It was clearly important to Kaylee and it was a beautiful moment.
The ceremony took place at Oak Manor Lawn at Disney. It was a bigger wedding than I had been doing, one of my biggest since COVID started. It was fun to be back in that type of energy space and to have so much love together in one room again.
The ceremony at Oak Manor Lawn was quick, simple and lovely. The couple did letters to each other and sealed them up in a box. That box is to be opened on their 1 year anniversary.
Then we took some photos both with the couple together and with their respective wedding parties. Then headed to the party at the Boardwalk Promenade Ballroom for the reception. Confetti greeted the new couple as they entered (as it should).
After a full course brunch and some sun set photos of the couple, the party began. Kaylee and Josh met at a rave and it’s clear that they bring that high energy, fun and love into their daily lives. There was no reason to expect their wedding to be any different.
The night ended with a final dance of just the bride and groom together (an American tradition!)
This crowd new how to party, it was a very fun night.
