Jessica and Travis met back in 2008 at a home-brew club. Jess worked at the brewery and Travis was a… fan. In 2017 when they both were single, they reconnected in their mutual love of home brewing and couldn’t stay away from each other. They got engaged in 2020 while on a motorcycle ride in California wine country. I mean, it just SOUNDS like a Disney movie.
I know I say this about all my weddings, but I really did LOVE this wedding. Their colour scheme was just so beautiful and this day is one of my favourite weddings at the Polynesian Resort. I loved the green and burgundy colour of the suit and it matched her bouquet perfectly.
Plus, her gown was just gorgeous. The little sleeve caps and lace detailing was beautiful. Her dress was an Olivia Bottega.
Overall, this day was pretty small and casual but so full of love.
We did some quick getting ready photos and then captured some individual shots before the couple met each other. They wanted just enough solo shots to remember the day. Every bride (AND groom) loves a good portrait. Jesica’s hair and makeup were done by Stacie Otto.
Then, we gathered the couple together for some first look photos.
Travis is so smitten with Jesica. It was so clear how excited the two were to get married and how in love they are. They kept saying how they were an older couple and talking down about it but age doesn’t matter when it comes to love. And these two are a billboard for what you want your wedding to look and feel like.
We explored the resort and wondered around. It was overcast so the lighting was just amazing for photos. I know couples look for bright sunny days but overcast is PERFECT for photos.
Their violinist – Robert – is a genius and can match a song just by hearing it.
Their officiant was a family friend which just made it that much more sweet and intimate.
Overall, the ceremony was quaint, intimate, lovely and heartfelt. It really seemed to fit this pair.
California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort was where their reception was held. They love Up so they had some Up details on their cake and in their decorations.
They didn’t do a dance party, it was more of a day cocktail brunch. It was a little more toned down but so beautiful and lovely.
To close off the night, we all went to Epcot.
All in all, it was a really lovely day with Jessica and Travis at the Polynesian Resort at Disney for their wedding. Are you looking for a wedding photographer for your Disney wedding? Let’s chat!
