If I had to choose one of the most gorgeous couples on the most gorgeous day, i would pick Taylor and Michael and their Magic Kingdom engagement shoot.
Taylor and Michael wanted photos taken just because. This entire session, it was so clear they are so in love with each other and just enjoy each other’s company so much. They weren’t engaged at the time, but I’m happy to share that they are now engaged and have started an adorable family.
This photoshoot took place at Disney in Magic Kingdom in December. It was warm enough to forgo big jackets like we would need up north, but we had the bonus of cute Christmas decor.
We started the session at the train station. It is one of my favorite places to start a photo shoot. It’s usually not very busy and is a bit quieter. It gives couples a chance to warm up and relax before going deeper into the Magic Kingdom and getting around bigger crowds.
Sadly, the train station is now blocked off because of COVID but I’m looking forward to being able to start visiting it with couples again soon.
We strolled down main street where the only thing that came close to being as sweet as this couple was the confectionary. I’ll never forget the smell. I’m not sure if it was the love in the air or the warm morning light but it was so sweet that day. The colour scheme and window decor is so Disney. Of course we needed some photos here too.
There is a cute little side street on Main Street where they normally do walking tours with characters. This spot is also usually quieter and is another secret gem of mine for photos.
When approaching Cinderella’s castle, I like to get some distant photos first before getting close and personal. There are so many great fountains and statues along Main Street for couples to interact with and play with.
I remember this walk down this street being the time that it was so clear how in love Taylor and Michael were. The way they looked at each other was so sweet.
We then visited Cinderella’s Wishing Well. Normally, this spot is a highlight for proposals – with great reason too because it’s a very romantic spot.
Because this was a morning shoot, the wait time for the carousel was very short so we were lucky enough to hop on. I love when couples get to interact with each other in such a fun way. It really brings out the lighter side of their personalities.
We finished off in fantasy land with glowy warm light and some nice snacks. I love snacks in the sessions. On this particular day, it was quite warm so it was refreshing but it’s a nice cap to a great photo session.
Spending this day exploring with a Magic Kingdom engagement shoot was so much fun. Seeing the park through the eyes of Taylor and Michael was such a treat. I knew on this day that their future would be full of light and love.
